The Museum of Flemish Friars Minor is not just a museum of religious art. The museum has a unique place in the museum landscape in Flanders, because it manages the religious heritage of an order which is spread throughout Flanders.
The museum was recognised as a museum by the Flemish Minister of Culture on 31 May 1999 and was classified at the regional level.
